Question is, do I really need all this freaking bandwidth? I never had any complaints before but I just can't think of anything I can try right now that would be noticeably different than how it was before. Of course, the line at the office was crazy but hot damn. OT: Did anyone who has Time Warner as their provider go and pick up their new modem? I thought they were bullshitting about about their massive 'free' speed increase but holy f*ck, I just tested it and I've gone from 25 mbpps to over 100, and an upload from 1.5 up to over 10. I never spend that much time with a racing game but I can't put this one down.

I plugged in my mic to ask if they were going to be on or off from then on out but it didn't seem to be working, I think my system still thinks I use the Kinect for chat so I need to adjust that.ДЄnyway, after while I had to stop playing, I had already had a 3 hour session with the game earlier in the day, so all in all I played for 6 hours Saturday. In some cases, though, if the car you pick is low on initial PI, you can end up racing against cars that have 20 or 30 PI points more than you do, whereas if you upgrade to the top of the class, all the cars will be pretty much at the top of the class within a few points of you.ДЇor online racing, everything is class based, and you'll want to be at the top of the class because everyone else will be. If you're having trouble with the handling, it may help to pick front wheel drive cars (or at least all wheel drive), since with FWD, the natural tendency to just point in the right direction and mash on the gas is actually a reasonably effective way to recover from slides, whereas with RWD that will just make things worse.ДЇor the single player championships, it looks like the game tries to give you opponents with a similar PI to whatever you're driving, so it's not really necessary to upgrade if you don't want to. Just picking what you like is generally going to be fine, but there is still enough sim physics in the game that car choice makes some amount of difference, at least in terms of things like weight distribution if you pick a RUF with the engine in the back, for example, it's going to be harder to recover from a spin than a muscle car with the weight mostly over the front wheels. TLDR: Drive what you like, car choice isn't going to make a difference. In order to get up into S1, S2 and X class you need to start higher than D-class is about it. I beat Bugatti's and Lamborghini's regularly in them. My winning cars are a 1973 Skyline GTR and a 1977 Ford Escort RS1800. No real way to tune a car like you would for Laguna Seca or what not. This has some upgrading and tuning (plenty if you want to get into it) but essentially its an arcade racer and most races are going from road, to dirt, through a field, over a sand trap and into a tree. I bought it because I have been a VIP on every other Forza game though lol.ДЄs far as upgrading cars, I tend to upgrade the cars I like. Credit's seem to come in pretty freely and between Forza Rewards, Wheelspins and event credits, it's not really needed.

VIP gives your 3 or 4 free cars initially, doubles credit payout from Wheelspins (level up bonuses you have a chance of winning a car or credits from), a crown next to your name and occasional free cars during the life of the game. Is the VIP pass thing worth picking up? I don't really understand what accelerate in game rewards means, more XP per race?ДЄlso, how do you know which cars are worth upgrading? Is it more a of a upgrade the cars you like kind of thing? I've never played a Forza game before. Just bought the game yesterday and working through the second championship. Hopefully I'll be joining in a day or two.
